“I spent my life folded between the pages of books.In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction.”

The Hunger Games Discussion Saturdays flop

Mari and I nano prepped for 12, maybe 13 hours straight today (with small breaks in between) so please forgive our lack of The Hunger Games Discussion today. I recently finished Delirium by Lauren Oliver (and I am close to being finished with Pandemonium) so expect a review. Possibly tomorrow if time allows.

I sat in a classroom the other day, sculpting clay and minding my own business but of course my super trained ears pick up anything that has to do with anything fandom/book/blog related so when I heard a girl say "a society where love is considered a disease..." I had to interject with "ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT DELIRIUM?!!? adjkasfhjlsdhl!!!" Here is then our conversation:

Girl who speaks of delirium: "YES!! Have you read it!!?!

Me: "YES! I love that book! I'm on pandemonium right now!!"

Girl who speaks of delirium: "OMG ME TOO! What part are you on in Pandemonium??!"

Me: "oh I'm on the part with the creepy rat people."

Bystander who delirium girl was originally talking to: "creepy rat people?"

Girl who speaks of delirium: to other girl; "it's a long story." To me; "so are you team Alex or team Julian??"

Me: "Alex!!"

Delirium girl: "yeah. Me too. Julian is kind of a nerd isn't he?"

Me: *crushed a little on the inside that she called Julian a nerd because that is offensive to nerds ~ le me* "yeah. He's kind of iffy. I don't trust him. He is weirdly off."

We both nod and turn away. Then I FANGIRL over the fact I just fangirled with a perfect stranger over delirium!!! Adjkasfhjlsdhl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that's my "Saturday Story" (kinda lame but I hope I sort of entertained you) ha. That's pretty good. Maybe someday "Saturday Story" will take over for The Hunger Games Discussion Saturdays.

Events/NaNoWriMo

Hey readers of this blog!

Guess what? Well, nothing. That's the problem. Does this blog seem somewhat repetitive? Yeah, well it kind of is... Anyone feeling a boring pattern? WE WANT TO CHANGE THAT! But...........................

I hate the but. Mari and I have some pretty awesome month long event that we want to undertake but...... (yeah..there's the but again) Mari and I are participating in NaNoWriMo and we have to prep! We don't have time to set up the event until AFTER November....

So in the meantime we are going to try to make the blog a little more interesting...but bear with us until December!

Thanks for being such awesome readers and stopping by to say hello! We love your comments!

The Hunger Games Discussion Saturday: Do you like how Mockingjay ended?

For those of you who don't know, The Hunger Games Discussion Saturdays is a weekly meme (hosted by us....it was our first meme EVER) and we basically just discuss The Hunger Games...we will continue to do so until we EXHAUST the topic...that may take a very long time. We have at LEAST until 2015 (Mockingjay part 2 movie release)

Question: Do you like how Mockingjay ended?

.....................................................................................................................................
Kait

I think we've gone over this...but in  few different ways..like was it necessary...so this is a different take on the end of Mockingjay..

Which end does this mean though? The epilogue or the 'end'? For me the 'end' was a love/hate kind of thing. There were events that were coming-to-a-close satisfying and also event that made me want to tear my hair out. Thinking about that, and the fact that some "happy" things actually took place (eh-hem....epilogue) I was pleased with how Suzanne officially closed the trilogy and ended the world.... But...I wasn't thrilled about Highlight between bracket to view spoiler. [ Prim and Finnick's deaths....and Gale's departure to district 2 ] However, I did think they were necessary.

..................................................................................................................................
Mari

Well, I loved the epilouge because at the end of a good novel you always want to know what happens to your characters because if you don't have that you never know, they could just be floating lifelessly in the vacuum of space.  I agree with Kait on the bracket sections, I also loved the whole, do you love me real or not real, and the final word just OH MY GOSH AMAZING— Real. Just beautiful writing that paints a picture.

Tidbit Thursday: Character Accents

Thursday again! Woo!

Tidbit Thursday is a weekly meme hosted by us! It is basically where we tell you all about our book-y habits and experiences...sometimes we might even bring blogging into it...mostly we just discuss what ever book-y thing (maybe stuff floating around the blog-o-sphere) that's on our minds. Lets discuss!

Q:  Accents in books...did you notice them?

........................................................................................................................................................
Kait

I notice that we need a button for Tidbit Thursday....I better get to work on that.

On to our post,

It's not too often that I pay much attention to the fact a character has an accent...mostly that is left for the reader to decide...but sometimes it's not. I'm bringing this up because I have heard that for the City of Bones movie that all the Shadowhunters will have British accents. (source: http://www.cityofbonesmovie.com ) Now, I've been thinking on this for a while and Mari and I talked it over and we have come to the conclusion that we are not all too thrilled about it. It's not going to kill us, and I'm sure the movie will be JUST AS AWESOME and Jace will be JUST as Jacealicious (or however you spell that...) but I wish wish wish that they were going to use American accents...since that's what I read the book in. But that's ok. I know the movie is going to be SOOO GOOOD! I am thrilled....how do you guys feel about this? Accents or no accents?

Here is a poll. We want to know what you guys think, leave your opinions in the comments too. (if one of these options doesn't work, we have several different ways to access the survey listed below)

Create your free online surveys with SurveyMonkey, the world's leading questionnaire tool.

P.S. Mari wants to let you all know she is back on her feet and her concussion is getting much better. She will be back on the blog and ready to start posting very soon.

Teaser Tuesday: Delirium by Lauren Oliver

It's Teaser Tuesday. Woo.

Teaser Tuesday's is a weekly meme hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading and asks you to :

1. Grab your current read

2. Open to a random page

3 . Share 2 "teaser" sentences also citing the title of the book and the author and in that way people can have great recommendations if they like the "teaser".

4. Please avoid spoilers!

Delirium (Delirium, #1)Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Summary from: goodreads.com

Before scientists found the cure, people thought love was a good thing. They didn’t understand that once love -- the deliria -- blooms in your blood, there is no escaping its hold. Things are different now. Scientists are able to eradicate love, and the government demands that all citizens receive the cure upon turning eighteen. Lena Holoway has always looked forward to the day when she’ll be cured. A life without love is a life without pain: safe, measured, predictable, and happy.

But with ninety-five days left until her treatment, Lena does the unthinkable: She falls in love.

~~~~ (other synopsis)
Ninety-five days, and then I’ll be safe.
I wonder whether the procedure will hurt.
I want to get it over with.
It’s hard to be patient.
It’s hard not to be afraid while I’m still uncured, though so far the deliria hasn’t touched me yet.
Still, I worry.
They say that in the old days, love drove people to madness.
The deadliest of all deadly things: It kills you both when you have it and when you don’t.
.........................................................................................................................
~~~~

“Symptoms of Amor Deliria Nervosa

PHASE ONE:
-preoccupation; difficulty focusing
-dry mouth
-perspiration, sweaty palms
-fits of dizziness and disorientation
-reduced mental awareness; racing thoughts; impaired reasoning skills

PHASE TWO:
-periods of euphoria; hysterical laughter and heightened energy
-periods of despair; lethargy
-changes in appetite; rapid weight loss or weight gain
-fixation; loss of other interests
-compromised reasoning skills; distortion of reality
-disruption of sleep patterns; insomnia or constant fatigue
-obsessive thoughts and actions
-paranoia; insecurity

PHASE THREE (CRITICAL):
-difficulty breathing
-pain in the chest, throat or stomach
-complete breakdown of rational faculties; erratic behavior; violent thoughts and fantasies; hallucinations and delusions

PHASE FOUR (FATAL):
-emotional or physical paralysis (partial or total)
-death

If you fear that you or someone you know may have contracted deliria, please call the emergency line toll-free at 1-800-PREVENT to discuss immediate intake and treatment.”

~~~~~
I love how this is a completely different angle on the "symptoms" of love....how we see these things as good...and somewhat enevitable, but how it can be flipped to look like symptoms of disease and so easily trick that generation of people. Read this book if this intruigs you. If you want to find out even more I will be posting a review on Delirium soon! Stay tuned!
Happy Reading!
P.S. I'd like to mention I think its super awesome and magical that I am posting this at 11:11! well....I probably won't get on at exactly 11:11 but it's the concept that counts...Make a wish!
Well, well, well...in the midst of tinkering with the inner workings of 2 B Read, I somehow happened to stumble upon the best writers blog I have EVER read. Seriously, I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS BLOG. While reading some of her posts I found myself leaning into the computer and shouting out "YES!!!!" numerous times as if anyone could actually hear me. The fact is this girls gets everything to a T and is so so so helpful! I can't even STAND how awesome this blog is. All I can say is, if you are a writer. Go look at WRITERS DON'T CRY. RIGHT NOW.
New Header!
YAY! We've got a new header! Like it?
Sorry for those of you who may have had to witness my multiple attempts at changing it...I was having size issues so at one point the header was EXTREMELY large and one point very small and/or blurry. Now I've got it under control and I am fairly happy with it. Most of it being Mari's idea I am giving her TONS of credit. Since it's a new season and all I thought we should change it, but she came up with the quotes and ideas..I just made it happen. Now it matches the blog button better.
There are some more changes to come, as much "technical difficulties" as we may have along the way, I apologise in advance for those. :)
Happy Monday...or not so...
Liebster Blog award!
We have been rewarded the Liebster Blog award by b00k r3vi3ws!! (don't you just love the name of her blog??) I really love awards and the questions that some with them! (that's why we started Random Question Monday.) Thank you so so much for the award!!!!!!
Here are a few things you nominees need to know:
THE RULES:
  1. Thank and link back to the giver
  2. Answer the award giver's questions
  3. Nominate 5 other blogs that have fewer than 200 follower
  4. Ask 5 questions for one's nominees to answer
Q&A:
Hardcover, paperback or ebooks?
Hardcover or paperback, it doesn't matter (although I like hardcover because they last longer) but I am COMPLETELY against ebooks. I do not have a nook/kindle and I never will.
What's your ambiance while writing your blog posts?
My blogging setting changes quite frequently, it could be downstairs at the island, or upstairs at my desk, etc. I have an equal balance between all of the places.
One movie based on a book, you think has actually managed to do justice to the book.
Hmmm...of the few movies into books I've seen (Twilight, The Lightening Thief, etc.) they have managed to do a HORRIBLE job on most/all of them (TLF excessively so). With that in mind, the one movie I was SO EXTREMELY HAPPY with (words cannot describe how thrilled I was with the book to movie translation) would have to be The Hunger Games. It's the book closest one I have ever seen...(then again I haven't seen too many...in the coming years it seems I'm in for a lot, ie. City of Bones, Divergent, The Host, and most likely many more.)
Do you have an idol/role model?
I don't have an idol but many many role models.
Since this is a book blog I will tell you my WRITING role model. That would no doubt be Veronica Roth. (for so many many reasons I cannot list.)
What's your mantra in life?
My mantra for writing would be "Don't get it right, get it written" and "Word vomit. Just write. Don't reread what you've just written..." — Ally Carter & Veronica Roth
My mantra for reading would be "Wear the old coat, by the new book." because "I cannot live without books." — Austin Phelps & Thomas Jefferson
My mantra for life would be "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." — Philippians 4:13
MY QUESTIONS:
When typing something up on Word do you prefer Calibri or Times New Roman? Does it matter?
Do music and books go together for you a lot? If so name a song that goes with a book purely by lyrics, and another by association (in other words it doesn't make sense that the book goes with the song but for you it does anyway) If not, do you need it to be completely silent to read or can there be background noise?
Do you have a favorite book? Or do you hate the idea of having to choose and avoid questions like this at all costs?
Do you like looking at quotes from past books you've read? Does it make you want to read them again?
How long does it typically take you to read a book? (avg 400+ pages)
PEOPLE I'VE NOMINATED: (some of these people have slightly over 200 but it's because they really deserve the award and I HAD to bend the rules!)
The Hunger Games Discussion Saturday: What's worse?
For those of you who don't know, The Hunger Games Discussion Saturdays is a weekly meme (hosted by us....it was our first meme EVER) and we basically just discuss The Hunger Games...we will continue to do so until we EXHAUST the topic...that may take a very long time. We have at LEAST until 2015 (Mockingjay part 2 movie release)
The question this week is:
What's worse? Reading the books out of order (by mistake!) or watching the movies before the books. (and about each thing...because both are flawed)
* Mari won't be posting for a couple weeks guys (sorry sorry!!) because she got a concussion and must rest her head! That means no blogging. Or even THINKING of discussing The Hunger Games! (we all know Mari gets a little excited when it comes to this) So she will be taking a small leave of absence. (although I'm sure she'll be biting at the bit to get back on and talk to you guys, she's got to rest so she can come back faster) *
...........................................................................................................................
Kait
I thought up this question recently when a favorite teacher of mine happened to say "Oh, I love The Hunger Games, it's very good! I've got ten pages left of Mockingjay! Is the last one as bad as everyone says? Because I'm about to start that one." and I thought...well maybe she got the titles mixed up..so I interjected with, "Mockingjay is the third one...you mean you have ten pages left of Catching Fire?" Yeah..well no. She read the third one second. I feel so bad because she was confused as to what was happening...so now she's like "Now I get it...that's why I had no idea what was going on." I somehow convinced her to read the second one anyway..even though she had messed it all up for herself... But the question is...do you think reading the books out of order is all that HORRIBLE? (it is awful...but) is it worse to see the movie before the book?
I'd like to say that reading them out of order is not as bad as watching the movie first (for reasons only being I'm against watching the movie first—especially for The Hunger Games—) but I think the real answer is that reading the books out of order is worse...because if you watch the movies first you can always go and read them after (I could argue all day about why that isn't a good idea regardless.) but if you read the books out of order than it's completely ruined..and if you aren't an avid reader than chances are you might just give up on reading the books altogether (that might not be such a problem with a reader who is addicted to the story because they would do anything to read them the right way) but either way it still was messed up for you as a reader and reading is more important than watching (and more interesting. You miss a lot through watching that you do through reading...which is why making books into movies can be impossible)
Anyway... what do you guys think about all of this? I know that was a lot. ; )
Happy reading! I'm going to go watch The Hunger Games....3 hours of bonus content, here I come!
New Look!
Hey guys! We've got a slightly new look now! Everything matches....and is somewhat less bland. Like it? For now? Maybe in our future we will do some major renovations and such. I know I'd like to my the blog as user friendly as possible, which means possibly adding some cool extras... I'm not sure exactly at the moment but they will be added as time goes on.
(in case you forget what the blog USE to look like...here is a picture —also note that I have no idea whats up with the tab text colors...it's purple for some reason...normally they are black on the old blog—) *click to view larger image*
(click to view larger)
Mari and I have also been discussing some type of event. We've got a few things up our sleeves...I think they might be really fun so stay tuned for more information (in the coming weeks/month) for more info on this possibility.
Comment with things you might want to see. Either in 'The Event' or as features/extras/interaction/etc on our blog. We love love love feedback.
Happy reading!!
Tidbit Thursday: Most Heart Shattering Moment
Tidbit Thursday again! Woooo!
Tidbit Thursday is where we talk about our bookish tidbits and you tell us yours.
This weeks question:
What is the most heart shattering moment in a book that you've ever read?
..................................................................................................................................
Kait
I think the most brutal moment for me (excluding all deaths of major characters boyfriends...because Ok...**Spoiler** Chase and Ren...both extreme heart breakers....**end of spoilers** but what is worse....having the person break the heart and still be alive...or dead...in this case...alive is worse.
So in Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter the worst part is on page 224:
"Kate is many things to me, but she is not you."
So that may seem sweet and heartfelt...like "AWWWW He loves her moreeeee" but not. He is talking to his EX-WIFE about his CURRENT wife....(aka. the main character)
So yeah...I practically died. But READ ON! I urge you!!
................................................................................................................................
Mari
When Jace was yelling at Clary for transporting to City of Glass!  I was crying because he was saying so many mean things he didn't mean because he was hurting. It was so horrible and I was crying!!
ahhhhh!
Teaser Tuesday: Insurgent by Veronica Roth
It's Teaser Tuesday! (some of you might have noticed that I posted this yesterday....yes, well I got confused with the days....so NOW its Tuesday)
Teaser Tuesday's is a weekly meme hosted by Miz B of Should Be Reading and asks you to :
1. Grab your current read
2. Open to a random page
3 . Share 2 "teaser" sentences also citing the title of the book and the author and in that way people can have great recommendations if they like the "teaser".
4. Please avoid spoilers!
I chose some random quotes from both Divergent and Insurgent.....enjoy!
Divergent (Divergent, #1)Insurgent (Divergent, #2)
Here's a tidbit...kind of cool to know right?
“I read somewhere, one, that crying defies scientific explanation. Tears are only meant to lubricate the eyes. There is no real reason for tear glands to overproduce tears at the behest of emotion.
I think we cry to release the animal parts of us without losing our humanity. Because inside of me is a beast that snarls, and growls, and strains toward freedom, toward Tobias, and, above all, towards life. And as hard as I try, I cannot kill it.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“Insurgent, he says. Noun. A person who acts in opposition to the established authority, who is not necessarily regarded as a belligerent.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“May the peace of God be with you," she says, her voice low, "even in the midst of trouble."
"Why would it?" I say softly, so no one else can hear. "After all I've done..."
"It isn't about you," she says. "It is a gift. You cannot earn it, or it ceases to be a gift.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“I think it would be easier to fight in a dress,” says Marlene, tapping her chin. “It would give your legs freer movement. And who really cares if you flash people your underwear, as long as you’re kicking the crap out of them?”
Lynn goes silent, like she recognizes that as a spark of brilliance but can’t bring herself to admit it.
“What’s this about flashing underwear?” says Uriah, sidestepping a bunk. “Whatever it is, I’m in.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“Okay. Then...I can talk. Ask me something."
"Okay." He laughs shakily in my ear. "Why is your heart racing Tris?"
I cringe and say, "Well, I...I barely know you. I barely know you and I'm crammed up against you in a box, Four, what do you think?"...
"Maybe you were cut out for Candor," he says, "because you're a terrible liar.”
Veronica Roth, Divergent
“So, the thing we’re all not talking about,” he says. He gestures to me. “You almost died, a sadistic pansycake saved you, and now we’re all waging some serious war with the factionless as allies.”
“Pansycake?” says Christina.
“Dauntless slang.” Lynn smirks. “Supposed to be a huge insult, only no one uses it anymore.”
“Because it’s so offensive,” says Uriah, nodding.
“No. Because it’s so stupid no Dauntless with any sense would speak it, let alone think it. Pansycake. What are you, twelve?”
“And a half,” he says.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“Why are you constantly escorting me places?” I say. “Isn’t there a depraved activity you’re supposed to be taking part in? Kicking puppies or spying on girls while they change, or something?”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“Lynn, she saved half our faction from this stuff," says Marlene, tapping the bandage on her arm from where the Dauntless traitors shot her. "Well, half of half of our faction."
"In some circles they call that a quarter, Mar," Lynn says.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent
“I like to think I'm helping them by hating them. I'm reminding them that they aren't God's gift to humankind.”
Veronica Roth, Divergent
“I have never been carried around by a large boy, or laughed until my stomach hurt at the dinner table, or listened to the clamor of a hundred people all talking at once. Peace is restrained; this is free.”
Veronica Roth, Divergent
for those of you who have read Insurgent, please enjoy this spoiler-y reminder of how awesome it is. I honestly think i might have died at this part....for real.
“You die, I die too.” Tobias looks over his shoulder at me. “I asked you not to do this. You made your decision. These are the repercussions.”
Veronica Roth, Insurgent  }
The Hunger Games Discussion Saturday: Katniss's Choice
It's Saturdy. Already! Wow...I can't believe how FAST this week went.
We have at LEAST until 2015 (Mockingjay part 2 movie release)
Here's the discussion question (please not this is a Mockingjay —book 3— question) :
Do you think Katniss would have still chosen Peeta if Gale hadn't done what he did?
............................................................................................................................
Kait
I believe Katniss still would have chosen Peeta...because she was in LOVE with him (I don't know why I'm speaking past tense) She realized this in Catching Fire...on the beach. During Mockingjay when they were traveling Katniss told Peeta everything she knew about him, i.e his favorite color (sunset orange!!!) and how he double knots his shoelaces, etc. Then she ran off crying. She was completely in love with him. She cried when he died in Catching Fire and even though Gale says "She will choose whoever she can't live without" I don't know if that's how she based her decision. She really really loved Peeta and thats why she chose him. Also I believe what Gale did factored into her decision...but it didn't really change her choice, it just made it easier to follow through. So I know Gale was never really an option for Katniss. (at least once the Games began....I know for certain she would have married him if she wasn't in The Hunger Games)
Mari
YES! Definitely, because he didn't do the unmentionable until the third book and I am a firm believer that she fell in love with Peeta in the first book. The games are what brought Peeta and Katniss together. She definity loves him and she always  has ever since the bread, even if she never knew it.  But, Gale kind of dissappeared at the end of the book and got married but I believe that if Peeta hadn't been chosen he wouldn't have gotten married like Gale, he would have loved her forever. Gale just moved on he couldn't have loved her that much.
Tidbit Thursday: Max # of Times You've Read a Single Book
It's Tidbit Thursday!
Tidbit Thursday is a weekly meme where we give tidbits of information about our book-y selves and you do too. (basically we tell about our book-y tales....)
This weeks question:
What is the maximum number of times you have read a single book?
...............................................................................................................................
Kait
Ahh......re-reading...a very dear old friend of mine. I always re-read my books because I hardly ever use the library. Ever. I buy all my books....which sometimes..cannot happen all the time and I am forced to re-read one of the ones I currently have. So (I am really proud of this accomplishment...and I could read this book again I'm telling you.) the maximum amount of times I've read a single book is 23 times. The Gallagher Girl Series by Ally Carter...I've read each one of those books 23 times....is that a lot? I guess....The normal amount of times I read any other book is 2 or 3...
How about you? Anyone have a REALLY big number?
My favorite quote (so far) from Insurgent by Veronica Roth
So I really love this book, although I swear to you my heart can't take any more of it. It's just awful X(...(not the book....my heart break!!)
Anyway, this is one of my FAVORITE quotes so far...I just find it funny.
"Four!” I call out. Why am i calling out a number? Oh yes. Because that’s his name. I call out again. “Four! Where are you?”
Happy Wednesday!
Divergent (Divergent, #1)Divergent by Veronica Roth
Summary from: goodreads.com
In a future Chicago, 16-year-old Beatrice Prior must choose among five predetermined factions to define her identity for the rest of her life, a decision made more difficult when she discovers that she is an anomaly who does not fit into any one group, and that the society she lives in is not perfect after all.
I don't like this description...it's not enough...
Here is my teaser:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"And your side?" he asks, his voice low.
"Only hurts when I breathe"
He smiles. "Not much you can do about that."

"Peter would probably throw a party if I stopped breathing."
"Well," he says, "I would only go if there was cake."

What It Takes To Write by Aimee Carter

To all you aspiring authors out there, like myself: This is a very beautifully written piece by Aimee Carter called

What It Takes To Write

it's succeeded in making me cry....not just 'tear up' but full on 'streaming'

I hope you guys like it. What do you think? Any personal experiences that can relate? I know this screams at me....it's my calling and it's very obvious to me now. I feel as though reading stuff like this, reading all the truths on top of each other, I see myself. I don't think anyone has written a piece on what writing takes as well as Aimee. I love this.

The Hunger Games Discussion Saturdays: Strategy For The Hunger Games

Hello guys!

The Hunger Games Discussion Saturday time. We've got a new picture here....trying to match everything to the blog now....so instead of making this button bada$$ like I think would suit it more....it's pink and black and white. Maybe I will make another one soon....we are always switching up the buttons...

For those of you who don't know, The Hunger Games Discussion Saturdays is a weekly meme (hosted by us....it was our first meme EVER..on a random note the Hunger Games Discussion Saturday anniversary is April 17th! Woo!) and we basically just discuss The Hunger Games...we will continue to do so until we EXHAUST the topic...that may take a very long time. We have at LEAST until 2015 (Mockingjay part 2 movie release)

Today's question is:

What would your Hunger Games survival strategy be?

...........................................................................................................................
Kait

I have 2.

1. Faint going  up the tubes and fall off the pedestal, getting blown to bits. Yes. That is my strategy.

2. (if I can't manage to pass out than I would turn to plan B) Run and hide and wait until everyone dies. (the game makers probably wouldn't allow for that though, so I would probably just survive as long as possible.) Hopefully pull off a painful death. Don't worry, I have no illusion that I would actually survive The Hunger Games. There is no hope for me.

How about you guys? Anyone think they would live?

........................................................................................................................
Mari

I would find an alliance with careers (I know that sounds terrible but I'm being honest.)  Then once near the end of the games I will run off and hide until the final battle if I make it that long, I just would have to hope my death was quick plus if I was in the games with Kait I would be her ally!
