“I spent my life folded between the pages of books. In the absence of human relationships I formed bonds with paper characters. I lived love and loss through stories threaded in history; I experienced adolescence by association. My world is one interwoven web of words, stringing limb to limb, bone to sinew, thoughts and images all together. I am a being comprised of letters, a character created by sentences, a figment of imagination formed through fiction.”

Break My Heart 1,000 Times

Break My Heart 1,000 Times

Living in the aftermath of the Event means that seeing the dead is now a part of life, but Veronica wishes that the ghosts would just move on. Instead, the ghosts aren't disappearing--they're gaining power.
When Veronica and her friend, Kirk, decide to investigate why, they stumble upon a more sinister plot than they ever could have imagined. One of Veronica's high school teachers is crippled by the fact that his dead daughter has never returned as a ghost, and he's haunted by the possibility that she's waiting to reappear within a fresh body. Veronica seems like the perfect host. And even if he's wrong, what's the harm in creating one more ghost?
From critically acclaimed Generation Dead author Daniel Waters, comes a delectably creepy and suspenseful thriller. Break My Heart 1,000 Times will leave readers with the chills. Or is that a ghost reading over the page?

Hey there, it is MARI! Here we go:

I rate this book a solid::::::::::

What I liked:
The writing was absolutely gorgeous! I think the only book that has better writing is Shatter Me. The similes and metaphors were just amazing, it was just perfection. Also, the point of view shifted which I liked because it always kept you interested as you had to figure out who was telling the story at the beginning of each chapter. I also love the cover, it is gorgeous, the tally marks are quiet interesting. And for the extra extra book obsessed people out there: The book smells amazing, especially amazing with a bit of sweetness added to the usual amazing smell of new book!

What I didn't like:
It was incredible slow, nothing really happened until the last quarter of the book! The author has great writing skill but he seems to drag everything on. I also didn't really like the main character, she was not even close to realistic. It talked about how all the boys loved her, yet she was super well behaved and she is also the smartest girl and school, and she is super brave, I could keep going, in most books I have read the main character has a weakness and I just couldn't find one! At one point I actually found myself not caring that her and her boyfriend were about to die! I just felt rushed to finish it like one of the other people feel about every book!!!!

Sorry to dissapoint because I also thought it would be much better :((((
Signing off,
Mari
